Learn the basics of the guitar.  Learn how to hold the guitar, play with a guitar pick and start playing some songs.

Instructor Dee Lovett will show young beginning guitarists how to hold the guitar, learn the parts of the guitar and teach young players to start playing.

Students need to bring a guitar to class.  If a student does not have a guitar the library has a limited number of lesson guitars.  These guitars do not leave the library. If a student would like to be able to take a guitar home, the library does have a limited number of guitars that can be checked out by an adult (parent) with their library card and their driver's license.

Dee's Bio:

Dee has been playing the guitar for almost 30 years. In addition to the guitar, she plays the violin, cello and bass. Dee has been playing the guitar for almost 30 years. In addition to the guitar, she plays the violin, cello and bass.  Dee has been a lead vocalist in several cover bands for the last several years and is currently a music instructor at Rock Town Music Academy.

Signing up for the first lesson, signs the participants up for all six lessons.  The lesson dates are October 15, 22, 29, November 5, 12, 19 (the last lesson).
