Avon-On-The-Lake Garden Club and ALPL begin a new partnership this fall!
Programs at meetings will be open to the public, a chance for anyone to learn about topics and issues in gardening:
September 2, 1 pm. The Avon~on~the~Lake Garden Club begins it's 91st year in partnership with the Avon Lake Public Library! Join us for a presentation by Holden Forest and Garden Club VP, Caroline Tait. Caroline will take us on a tour of English and American Gardens.
October 7, 1 pm. Avon Lake's own Dave Dibble will talk about "Wildlife in Avon Lake" and share his experiences on wildlife data collection for ONDR.
November 4, 1 pm. Former ALGC member, Beth Murphy, now a Master Gardener with Cuyahoga County, will discuss everything you need to know about Orchids.
February 3, 2022. 1 pm. Michael Watson, Conservation Biologist at Holden Forest and Garden will share his knowledge of on the "Return of the Eastern Bluebird".
March 3, 2022. 1 pm. Holden Forest and Garden Horiculturist, Rob Dzurec will present a program on incorporating edible plants into our residential landscapes.
April 7, 2022. JoC Walker and Judy Morley, both experienced Flower Show judges will guide us through a practice session on preparing for the club's June 2022 show.
WHEN ATTENDING LIBRARY PROGRAMS: Given the confined space, MASKS ARE REQUIRED, regardless of vaccination status, for anyone aged 2 (24 months+) or older attending a Library program held in any meeting room.
