Don’t Try This at Home provides an opportunity for older kids to do all of those crafts & experiments that they may not be permitted to do at home (with good reason!).  We’ll get messy, try things we probably shouldn’t try, and have a great time. Always dress for a mess.

Wednesday, August 7, 11:00 am- noon or 2:00 pm-3:00pm

Registration required beginning Wednesday, July 31.

Ever wonder about stars?  What are they made of? What do they do other than twinkle?  How can we get to them? Answer those questions by making models of molecules using marshmallows & gumdrops.*  Try your hand at nuclear fusion by squishing marshmallows together then form a team and build a (spaghetti) ladder to the stars.

*Some marshmallows & gum drops will be consumed in the pursuit of science.  Don’t worry, it’s science.
