Janet Macoska is an internationally renowned photographer from Cleveland.  She has photographed rock stars playing in Cleveland and beyond since 1974.  With collaborator, writer Peter Chakerian, she has produced two books.  ALL ACCESS CLEVELAND:  THE ROCK AND ROLL PHOTOGRAPHY OF JANET MACOSKA and BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN:  LIVE IN THE HEARTLAND.  She and Peter Chakerian are currently working on a book MICHAEL STANLEY:  FAVORITE SON, due out in March 2024.  On Tuesday, February 13, she will be appearing at Avon Lake Public Library for a multi media presentation about her photography career, and Cleveland Rock and Roll history.  Macoska recently was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award in Visual Arts from The Cleveland Arts Prize.  She has been inducted into the Cleveland Journalism Hall of Fame.  Artists such as  DEVO, The Kinks, The Clash, Michael Stanley, AC/DC, Hall and Oates, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, Roxy Music, J. Geils Band, The Cars and Aretha Franklin have used her photos on their recordings and in books."
