From March 7th through April 4th,  visitors can read "Sugar in Milk" by Thrity Umrigar on the ALPL Story Book Trail tucked along the trail in Lorain County MetroParks Kopf Family Reservation, located adjacent to the Library parking lot.

The story is read along 16 stations which form a ½ mile loop. Sugar in Milk by Thrity Umrigar is about a young immigrant girl joins her aunt and uncle in a new country that is unfamiliar to her. She struggles with loneliness, with a fierce longing for the culture and familiarity of home, until one day, her aunt takes her on a walk. As the duo strolls through their city park, the girl's aunt begins to tell her an old myth, and a story within the story begins.

The ALPL Story Book Trail has a different book to read each month and this activity is free. ALPL is located at 32649 Electric Blvd., Avon Lake.
